Monsoon Ride in Western Ghats :Bangalore - Kudremukh - Manipal - Gokarna (1500Km)

This was long overdue... we started planning it from April, 2015 and was able to go in July 2015. We have a nice big group of friends and it is usually difficult to get everyone on board. We definitely missed a few of them but still the road trip was fun. We started off early by 7:00 am on  24th July, 2015 from Bangalore.

This was my 2nd long road trip and we were damm serious about being on road only time we checked-in in any hotel was when we needed to sleep in night. Had a complete different experience, scenic views of Kudremukh Ghat is something you cant express in words one should definitely visit at least once in a life time to experience the beauty nature has to offer in Kudremukh, how ever if you enjoy driving like me and my husband you might end up visiting Kudremukh quite often.

Our first night halt was at Manipal ...If you are visiting Manipal for the first time please eat one meal at Dollops it is amazing. If you want to enjoy the beauty and yummy costal food Manipal has to offer you need atleast 2 days stay ours was how ever a road trip so we remained on move the next morning. Crossed the clean and beautiful western coast's beaches one of the spot to definitely stop by on the way is Maravanthe Beach. This beach is beside NH66 or rather NH66 is in between Arabian Sea and Sauparnika river so apart from enjoying the halt at beach the drive in between sea and river is really kool. It infact becomes adventure when you drive on it with a heavy rain on.

The further drive to Murudeshwar and Jog Falls was fun followed with a night drive to Gokarna. How ever lack of rain on the way was little disappointment and that is inspiring me to plan for a next roll for western ghats road trip in next monsoon :)
